Deep in the heart of Wiltshire lies the village of Pewsey. The village has long
been famed for its carnival, now in its second century, which is held during the
first two weeks in September. Thousands of visitors come to watch, amongst other
events, the “wheel-beer-row race and the carnival procession.

Race Details

Race HQ, Registration and Refreshments
|
Pewsey Vale School, Wilcot Road, Pewsey, Wiltshire, SN9 5EW. Tea, coffee and delicious
cakes will be available.
|
|
The Course
|
11 (ish) miles. Mixture of footpaths, tracks, x-country and (a little bit) of road.
Some significant hills to give you a nice rest on the down leg. Spikes are NOT recommended
but shoes should have a good grip. No dogs please as there is likely to be livestock
en route.

Car Parking
|
At Pewsey School & Sports Centre and other Pewsey car parks (free). Please obey
marshal’s instructions. Note: Several of the car parks are 5-10 minutes walk
from the start.

Toilets, Changing & Showers
|
All at Pewsey School. Please remove muddy shoes before entering.
|
|
Personal Listening Devices
|
Personal listening devices such as iPods MUST NOT be worn during the event. We have
had serious near-misses as a result of participants not hearing marshall's instructions.
It is your safety that is our primary concern and failure to comply will result in
exclusion from the results.

The race starts at 10:30am from the school
|

Drink Stations
|
Drink station are at 3, 6 and 9 miles and at the finish (11.5 miles)

|
1:00pm to 1:15pm approx

Results
|
Envelopes will be available, please write your name and address on the envelope
and enclose £1.00 to cover costs. Full results will be posted on our website: www.pewseyvalerunningclub.org
